Feeling stiff from sitting all day? You don't need to stand to move your body and get a good stretch. These seated stretch practices are designed to help you release tension, improve mobility and feel better without ever leaving your chair. They're perfect for long workdays when you're stuck on an endless phone call and need some relief.

A common misconception is that stretching only “counts” if you’re standing or lying on a mat. In reality, seated stretches aka chair yoga can be just as effective. Plus they are very accessible and cause minimal disruption. Stretching while sitting down also allows you to move through controlled ranges of motion while staying supported, making it great for beginners.

The 3 practices below are short, follow-along routines you can do at work or at home. No special setup, no sweaty transitions - just simple movement to help your body feel more comfortable and less stiff as the day goes on.
