3 Full Body Standing Stretches You Can Do At Work

3 follow-along standing stretch routines you can do standing by your desk to release stiffness and improve mobility.

If you sit at a desk all day, your body starts to feel it: painful neck, stiff shoulders, tight hips, achy low back. That’s where full body standing stretches come in. These are simple, follow-along stretches you can do right at work without getting on the floor or changing clothes.

One of the biggest misconceptions about stretching is that it has to happen on a mat. In reality, full body standing stretches can be incredibly effective for restoring range of motion, improving circulation and reducing the tension that builds up from prolonged sitting. Standing allows you to gently load your joints, engage your core and get the blood flowing again all while staying office-appropriate :)

Here are 3 standing stretching routines designed to help you feel looser and more comfortable in your body, even on your busiest days. Think of them as a reset button you can press between meetings or whenever your body starts asking for a stretch break.
